About Rachel

I provide virtual individual therapy for adults across Texas, with a focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and those navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, trauma, and boundary-setting. My style is compassionate, collaborative, strengths-based, and non-judgmental.

I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University and am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500), I also integrate mindfulness, breathwork, and other mind–body practices when helpful.

Before becoming a therapist, I earned my undergraduate degree in Fashion and Retail Studies from The Ohio State University and spent several years working in retail management. Over time, I felt called to pursue more meaningful, people-centered work, which led me to transition into the mental health field—a shift that continues to inspire my commitment to helping others.

My clinical experience spans two group practices, a nonprofit setting, and community mental health at The Harris Center, where I worked in both the Early Onset Psychosis and Adult Mental Health programs. In these roles, I supported individuals experiencing serious mental illness and helped clients and families adapt to significant changes in functioning and stability. I have extensive experience providing individual and group therapy to adults of all ages, including those navigating complex or persistent mental health challenges. These roles have shaped my ability to meet clients with empathy, flexibility, and a deep respect for their resilience.

When I am not working with clients, I enjoy spending time outdoors, relaxing with my dog Trish, and exploring new restaurants.

Your story is unique and deserves to be met with respect, compassion, and without judgment. I’m here to listen and support you. Reaching out can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to take it alone—I invite you to reach out when you’re ready to begin moving toward the life you envision. I can’t wait to meet you!
